If you told me that right now, Lauryn Hill was arguing with a tree or one of her other personalities I wouldn't be surprised - especially after hearing about a radio interview Wyclef gave Houston station 104.9.
'Clef shared that during the recording of the Fugees reunion record, the once sane person nicknamed L-Boogie demanded that she not be addressed as Lauryn anymore, opting for Queen Hill instead. I guess 'Clef, like the rest of us, knew that Zamunda wasn't a real country and even if it were, Lauryn wasn't a part of the monarchy, so they worked on another name.
They settled on Ms. Hill. 'Clef rationalized Lauryn's crazy cat-lady like demands as another celebrity gimmick - much like Puffy's wish that you now address him as Diddy (Whatever, I still call that Negro Puff.)
The next day, 'Clef addressed Ms. Hill by her new moniker, but she began to yell and scream at him in anger. When asked what was wrong with the name, Ms. Midol answered, "That was yesterday."
Narcissism and mental instability always go hand and hand, don't they?
If you're still waiting on another Fugees album, stop it. Stop it now.
For those of you still waiting on that sophomore solo project, do you really expect the Queen to drop it anytime soon?
A part of me still wants to hold on to the idea that this is all some joke and that maybe I should join in on the fun and ask people to call me 'Michael the Duke of Hiram Clarke' (hood of origin), but with every new story I feel like I'm more likely to hear
The Boys reunion album than a new studio album from Ms. Queen Hill.
The Cynical Ones.
